Hotshot dm1
Maybe I missed something when reading the description of this box on the site, but I don't recall seeing anything that mentioned it working in this way. Unfortunately I don't have a sound-engineer who I can switch channels to talk to, as I'm not famous enough. I'll keep the device anyway because it appears to be very well constructed, and I am sure I can find an appropriate use for it in some playing situation. The trouble is, I can be quite verbose when I get carried away, and I didn't fancy having to hold the button down all the time I was talking. The obvious thing in my situation would be to use output 2 for the announcements in between the numbers, and play the sax through output 1. That is, you have to keep your foot on the switch when using it. The HotShot DM-1 is a dynamic microphone switcher with a momentary toggle footswitch, allowing an artist on stage to redirect a vocal mic.
Onstage Stage Mic Toggle Pedal with Microphone Signal Splitter/Mute Footswitch.
The problem is that the switchover to output 2 is "momentary". Radial HotShot DM-1 Dynamic Microphone Output Selector / Mute Switch. It will work in this way although I appreciate that this isn't how you are really supposed to use it, but I didn't see anything else on the site that looked as though it would do the job. I bought this because I was looking for a dynamic mic switching device to enable me to use one mic in two separate channels (set up differently for making announcements and for playing sax).
